Mastering Service Information
What is the typical turnaround time?
Mastering is typically completed within 3–5 business days after the premaster, reference tracks, project notes and payment have been received.
How many revisions are included?
Each mastered song includes two revisions. Please submit all requested changes together in one clear and organized list. Additional revisions may require an extra fee.
What premaster format is required?
Please submit a high-resolution WAV or AIFF file at the original sample rate and bit depth. Remove all limiters and clipping from the master output and leave adequate headroom. Please also include the song’s BPM, a rough reference master and one or two commercial reference songs.
Do instrumental and clean versions cost extra?
Yes. Instrumental, clean, performance and alternate versions require separate mastering and may cost extra. Please submit all versions together to receive an exact quote.
Is analog processing used?
Yes. Analog processing may be used when it benefits the song, along with professional digital processing. The final mastering chain is selected according to the needs of each record.
How will I receive my final files?
Final masters are delivered through the secure Chokobeats File Share page. You will receive high-resolution WAV and MP3 files prepared for digital distribution and playback.
Submit a high-resolution WAV file with no limiter or clipping on the master output and adequate headroom. Include one or two reference songs and any notes regarding your preferred sound.
